Chic Report: "I've embraced the lace!" exclaimed Miuccia Prada after her show. But as she proves each season, Prada is not exactly straightforward. Her generous use of lace took the once-precious fabric to a level of cold sophistication. Prim pencil skirts, tailored frocks, and severe, buttoned-up blouses were all forged of the stuff. Other standouts included a crisp bronze dress and sharp-shouldered black sheath. "I loved the nude lace from Switzerland," raved T's Stefano Tonchi. "It was a perverse show of covering and uncovering--a fantastically sexy game!" Glenda Bailey was similarly charmed, saying, "Miuccia used lace in a very different, unique way. She always manages to push fashion forward, doesn't she?"
